Un Paso Más stands for one more step, or one more chapter, and change has been a long time coming. After decades of flying under the radar to neighboring France, Spain has put its mark on the Old World. Known for their spunky flavor, wines from this region are unlike any of its European counterparts. Step into a journey and taste a bottle from one of our favorite places for reds with some sass.

The 2010 Un Paso Más is a celebration of the Spanish winemaking style. It’s a “barrica” blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, a mix of old and new where modern varieties meet traditional Spanish techniques. Known for a signature style of letting the wine age in oak for long periods of time, Spanish winemakers use these barricas to create a soft texture and impart secondary flavors of earth, spice and herbs. With a little age in the bottle, its dark fruit, earthy flavor and big tannins definitely make it a candidate for a fancy steak dinner!
