Cotton Candy Truffles
Limited Time only - because the main ingredient in this recipe says it is only available for a limited time....and I just may buy them all out since this turned out so good.
Ingredients:
16 oz of white chocolate chips
8 oz of whipped cream cheese
2 packs of Cotton Candy Oreos (You are going to use 5 rows of cookies)
Colorful sprinkles for the top
Directions:
1. Blend up the oreo cookies in a food processor. (yes the whole oreo with the cream)
2. Combine the oreo crumbs with the cream cheese. Smash together until you have a thick paste that becomes one big ball. You should not have any loose crumbs in the bowl
3. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Start forming your truffles by taking a ping pong size ball and rolling it until smooth in between your hands.
4. Place the balls on the cookie sheet. Continue until you have used all the mixture. Put in the freezer for about 10 minutes to set.
5. Melt your white chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave in 30 second increments until smooth.
6. Working quickly, dip one ball into the chocolate, use 2 forks to toss it around to coat and set it back on the parchment paper.
7. Sprinkle each truffle with some colorful sprinkles or colored sugar and return to the freezer for 10 minutes. I usually only dip 1-2 truffles in the chocolate and then sprinkle them right away. If you let the chocolate set even a little bit, the sprinkles will not stick.
8. Store the truffles in the refrigerator.
