Fourth of July Celebration

What would fourth of July be without ribs? Ribs, corn and some type of treats!

My ribs are a staple,so check out my many recipes for ribs and dry rub on the blog.
The best way to do July sweet corn is soak the corn in the husk for 20 minutes and then grill with the husk on over high heat for about 30 minutes, turning often.

Dessert for tonight was patriotic and special - inspired by Waffles and Dinero in Central Park.

Follow the instructions for bisquit waffles.  Use your waffle iron on level 4. Mix 1 tbsp vanilla in your waffle mix. Spray your waffle iron with cooking spray. Cook your waffle to a 4 or soft. Mix 1 tbsp brown sugar with Q tbsp molasses, 2 tbsp milk and 1 tsp canola oil. Brush this on your waffle when it beeps the first time. Then close the waffle iron and continue cooking for about 2 more minutes.  Then cut your waffles into fourth, triangles.  Lay the bottom with sliced strawberries, then natural vanilla ice cream, then blueberries, and finally, top it with the waffle top to make a sandwich.  Serve right away. Enjoy.
