Garlic Pan Sauce Pork Chops
Ingredients:
1/2 cup beef broth
1 1/2 cups red wine
18 garlic cloves
1 TBSP balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper
black garlic salt
1 bay leaf
3 TBSP butter
2 TBSP olive oil
4 Bone in Pork Chops medium to thin thickness
Directions:
1. Season pork chops with pepper, salt and black garlic salt let come to room temperature
2. Heat up a large skillet or cast iron dutch oven to medium high heat with olive oil and 2 TBSP butter. When combined and hot, add pork chops
3. Sear pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from pan
4. Reduce heat to medium, add garlic cloves to pan and toss around for 3-4 minutes until slightly brown and softened
5. Add red wine and bay leaf and let reduce for about 3-4 minutes.
6. Stir in the beef broth and add the chops back into the pan. Nestle them in the liquid.
7. Pour in the balsamic and let simmer for 4-5 minutes.
8. Remove the pork chops again from the pan
9. Simmer the sauce for another 3-4 minutes or until thicker consistency. If too thick, add a little more beef broth.
10. Pour sauce and garlic cloves over the pork and crack a little fresh pepper over the top.
