Winter Brussel Sprout Side

Ingredients:
16 oz brussel sprouts
1 cup chopped kale
1/2 cup olive oil
4 TBSP butter
7 slices of bacon
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
1/4 cup dried cranberries
salt and pepper
1 tsp chili powder

Directions:
1. Microwave shredded brussel sprouts and kale in a large bowl for 3 minutes.
2. Toss with olive oil and 2 TBSP butter, salt and pepper.  Let sit for 1 hour
3. Cook bacon and chop into small pieces, reserve 3 tsp of bacon fat in a large pan
4. Saute brussel sprouts in the bacon fat and remaining 2 TBSP of butter for 5 minutes. Add chili powder.
5. Add cranberries and hazelnuts and saute for another 2 minutes.
6. Add bacon and a little more salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute. Taste for seasoning
