Breakfast Burger

Ingredients:
4 of your favorite hamburger buns (I used potato buns)
3/4 pound ground sirloin
5 links of fresh breakfast sausage, casing removed (1/2 a package)
8 slices of bacon (2 slices per burger)
6 slices of American cheese (1.5 slice per burger)
2 handfuls of Arugula
4 eggs, fried over easy
1 tomato, 4 thin slices
1 package of frozen hashbrowns
1-2 TBSP butter
onion powder
garlic powder
salt
pepper
paprika
Your favorite jam or jelly for topping or serve with ketchup

Directions:
1. Mix meat and sausage together.  Add some salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika.  No exact measurements here but about 1 tsp of each.
2. Using a large biscuit cutter, portion the meat into 4 equal patties. Gently form them into a patty and let rest.
3. Get your hashbrowns frying in a pan. Follow package directions and cook until very crispy. They will take almost 20 minutes.
4. While that is going, fry your bacon and reserve on paper towels
4. In same pan you fried bacon in, fry your 4 eggs and season with salt and pepper. Flip them once when cooking to cook the yolk just a bit. Reserve on paper towel.
5. Now it's time to cook your burgers. Wipe out the pan and add a little butter to the pan over medium high heat. Place the burgers in the pan and cook 4-5 minutes without moving. This should make a nice crust on one side. Flip. Cook another 3 minutes on the other side. Lower heat, add cheese and put the lid on the pan for 2 minutes to help melt the cheese.  Remove the burgers to a plate and keep warm
6. In that same pan with the burger juice, add your buns cut side down over low heat. Cover and "toast" for 1-2 minutes.
7. Build your burger - Bottom bun, bacon, tomato, burger, arugula, egg, hashbrowns, jam on the top bun. Serve it up with extra jam and hashbrowns sprinkled around the plate.

Serve with a mimosa, bloody mary or your favorite Rose!
