My Best Chocolate Chip Cookies - Valentine's Day Edition

Ingredients:

3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

2 large eggs, room temperature

2 tsp vanilla

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Optional: Red sprinkle sugar

Red Food coloring until you get the color you're looking for.

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Cream butter and sugars togethers until light and fluffy - about 3 minutes.

3. Add eggs and vanilla extract

4. Mix all the dry ingredients together. With the mixer on low, add in the dry ingredients.

5. Add in your dark chocolate and white chocolate chips. Mix just until combined.

6. Arrange cookies on the trays - you should have about 14 cookies.

7. Bake for 12 minutes, switching the trays halfway through. Remove from the oven and place trays on cooling racks for 10 minutes.

8. Transfer cookies from tray onto cooling rack to cool completely.  Place the rack on top of the tray.

9. Once the cookies are cool, melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir. Microwave another 20 seconds and stir. You should have a chocolate you can drizzle now. If not, add 10 more seconds until you have melted chocolate.

10. Use a small spoon and just drizzle chocolate over 3 cookies at a time. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the red sugar over the cookies. You can be as generous as you like here.

Let the while chocolate harden completely before storing in airtight container for up to a week.

Enjoy!
