Shrimp and Crab Farfalle

Shrimp and Crab Farfalle
Ingredients:
1 Shallot
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup parsley
1 TSP garlic powder
1 TSP Italian seasoning
1 TSP red pepper flakes
1 TSP salt
1 TBSP butter
3 TBSP olive oil
5 TBSP basil pesto
1/2 cup fresh asiago cheese
1.2 cup fresh parmesan cheese
1 lemon, zest and juice.
1lb shrimp
1lb  crab meat
1lb farfalle pasta



Directions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil for your pasta. Prepare pasta according to directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before you drain just in case you want to thin you sauce out later.
2. Chop garlic, parsley, and shallot
3. Season shrimp and crab with Italian seasoning, salt, red pepper, and garlic
4. Heat large sauté pan. Start sautéing shallot in 1 TBSP butter. Let sauté on low for about 5 minutes. Add fresh garlic and cook another 2-3 minutes.
5. Add shrimp and crab to the pan. Increase heat to medium. Cook until Shrimp and Crab are cooked mostly through - about 5-6 minutes.
6. Remove seafood from pan. Add olive oil,  basil pesto, lemon juice and any amount of pasta water if you want it. Cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.
Shred both cheeses and put them into a bowl. Add the lemon zest to the cheese.
7. Add back in crab and shrimp to warm up then toss with pasta. Add in the cheese and toss to combine and melt.
8. Serve in a shallow bowl and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
