Crunchy Bar Burgers with Smoked Gouda

Ingredients:
1.25 pounds of 85/15 ground beef
5 hamburger buns
Potato Chips with ridges
5 slices of Smoked Gouda Cheese
1 Heirloom tomato, sliced
5 slices of bacon
Your favorite bbq sauce
Burger seasonings: garlic powder, season salt, backyard brick oven seasoning, pepper

Directions:
1. Combine meat and a good amount of seasonings and make 5 burger patties. Refrigerate until ready to use.
2. Prepare a 2 burner griddle pan over medium heat and fry the bacon.
3. While the bacon is frying, slice the cheese and tomato
4. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towel.
5. Now this is what makes this a Bar Burger...Keep the bacon grease on the griddle pan and turn up the heat to medium high.  Sprinkle a little more salt and pepper on the patties and toss them on the grill. Grill on one side for about 4 minutes.
6. Flip the burgers and grill on the other side for 3 minutes. Turn the heat down to low and add the cheese on burgers.  Let the cheese melt a little before you pull the burgers off.
7. To assemble the burgers, add the bacon the bottom, then the tomato, burger, cheese, chips and drizzle with bbq sauce.

Today's wine selection is from the Inn at Churon in Temecula, CA.

This wine is unique. The depth, spiciness, and body of this wine can stand up to this juicy pub burger.  What a surprise this wine was.
Enjoy
