Triple Chocolate Cake Balls

Ingredients:
1 (9x13) Chocolate Fudge Box Cake, prepared according to box instructions
1 container of chocolate frosting (or you can make your own)
16-18 oz of semi sweet chocolate morsels (preferably minis)
2 TBSP shortening
Sprinkles or other fun topping

Directions:
1. Bake the cake according to instructions and let cool completely.
2. Crumble the cake with a large fork and mash into a bowl with the frosting.
3. Chill the mixture for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour. It will be much easier to work with if it is chilled
4. Roll the cake mixture into balls - they can be whatever size you want. Place on a parchment-lined sheet tray
5. Freeze for at least 20 minutes to set.
6. Combine the chocolate morsels and shortening together. Microwave on 50% power for about 3-4 minutes. Take out every 40 seconds to stir. Your chocolate should be smooth and silky.
7. Using 2 forks, dip one ball into the chocolate at a time. Toss it back and forth from one fork to another at least twice to let the excess chocolate drip off.
8. Set on the parchment paper and sprinkle with desired topping. Do not do more than 3-4 at a time without sprinkling - otherwise the chocolate will be too hard and the sprinkles will not stick.
9. Freeze again for another hour before serving.  Can be kept in the freezer or refrigerator in a container for up to a week.
